Some fly patterns can be tied with rubber legs, hackle legs, quill legs, ice dubbing, hair dubbing ... the possibilities go on and on. A complete and thorough list would be a virtual encyclopedia series were all the combinations and variations to be listed.

Amid this massive list of fly patterns, there are some 'go to' patterns that might be considered 'standards' for fly fishing the Bow River.
