About Your Guides We Live to Fish!
Our guides spend countless hours on the Bow River as the lure of the water and the trophy trout are impossible to resist. Many hours are spent fishing other water courses in southern Alberta, however, our guides concentrate on fishing activity and success on the Bow River.
Bow River Hookers takes the stereotypical vision and intimidation out of fly fishing. All of our guides are experienced fly fishers and capable fly casting instructors. You need not worry if you have never cast a fly before, our guides will have you casting "Bow River Style" within minutes of launching the boats and effectively fishing the river, sometimes even out-fishing seasoned veterans.
Precious few people can become intimate with a variety of fishing waters. The broader your scope of focus, the less intimate you become with each. For this reason, Bow River Hookers aims 90% of its focus on the Bow River. You know from your own fishing experience that you have a favorite stream, lake or reservoir you fish and you know it better than any other water system. You may spend fishing time on other fisheries but you still know "your" fishing water best. Bow River Hookers guides are no different and "our" fishing water is the Bow River.
To keep "in-touch" with the river, insect activity and the fish, each guide spends time every week fishing the river himself either individually or in groups allowing for multiple fly changes, different approaches and methods. They constantly exchange ideas and concepts that will benefit Bow River Hookers guests. Bow River Hookers guests are being guided by fly fishermen who know the Bow River, its entomology and its trout. |

| Meet Your Guides ... |
| Tom Windsor - Tom Windsor, owner of Bow River Hookers, has been fly fishing for over 35 years. Spending over 100 days each year on the Bow River has given him knowledge of the river that is unmatched. The tricks he has developed consistently put his guests into quality fish. His experience, along with his enthusiasm in seeing someone catch their first Bow River trout, makes him one of the best at what he does. If you're looking for a guide who will put you into trout on the Bow River, there is no Bow River guide that will put you into fish more consistently than Tom will. |

Bill Windsor - Has been fly fishing Southern Alberta waters for close to fifty years. Spending close to 100 days each year on the Bow River has given him a knowledge of the river that is second only to Tom. Bill brings a little different dimension to the team, as the oldest guiding member he tends to keep our feet on the ground. He is so committed to fishing success, he plays with flies in his bathtub to see how the flies move and react in the water so he is better prepared when he gets on the river. His passion is the Bow River and putting guests, especially new fly fishers, into its trophies. |
| Todd Clarke - Todd has been guiding on the Bow and Southern Alberta waters for years. I have nicknamed him the fish magnet. It seems whenever you see Todd one or both of his guests have a fish on, making some days following him very frustrating. Laughter is usually heard coming from his boat, as Todd's belief is it has to be fun. |

Jason Brown - Jason Brown, in keeping with his last name, somehow always seems to find the browns. He has been fly fishing the Bow River and southern Alberta for over 20 years, guiding for Hookers for the past three years. His knowledge of the Bow and the trout in it, along with his jubilant personality, makes a day with Jay nothing less than spectacular. |

| Other Members of our Team ... |
| Bill Windsor Sr. - Has been fly fishing Southern Alberta Waters for over 60 years. Although not a guide with Bow River Hookers, Dad was responsible for putting a fly rod in the hands of his sons and imparting on them a keen sense of fly fishing and fishing waters. He is very active with Bow River Hookers, providing assistance whenever it is needed from lunch table and bench building to taxi of guides and guests. Dad serves as our guinea pig whenever we want to try something new. He remains one of the premier fly fishers in Alberta, a great companion and treasured fishing partner. |

Kathleen Windsor - Is not a fishing guide at all. In fact, she is not likely to be found on or over water of any kind unless the sun is shining and the temperatures are soring ... a fair weather fisher. She is owner of Windsor Graphics, the company responsible for creating and maintaining the Bow River Hookers website. When the boys are on the river, the last thing on their minds is the website, they're focused on getting their guests into fish. It's Kathleen's job to keep the website up-to-date and current with the latest information. It is because of Kathleen's commitment and expertise that the Photos and Journal pages have the latest trips covered. |
